21months

oh how fast time goes by...

i don't work on thursdays and thought i needed to do a 21month shoot of vail. she is growing and changing on a daily basis. she is strong, kind, funny, generous, shy and most important, loving.

i love learning something new about her each day.

Afternoon Snuggle

I couldn't help but post this picture of Vail and I having snuggle time and just laughing together. We have the best time.

HeartBeat

AMAZING!! No matter how many times I hear it, I am amazed that there is a little baby growing inside of me. Today Theo, Vail and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat. We are so in love!

Happy Heart Day!

What a great Valentines Day. Theo, Vail and I celebrated together with a candle-light dinner at home and we gave each other gifts. We often don't cater to this so called Hallmark holiday but try and do things a little differently. I always get a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Theo (anything other than roses) and we share a special gift. 


This year Theo's favorite part was the words I put on the box and mine was the glassy baby he got me (named kumquat) that represents the size of our unborn baby. So sweet!

Another fun thing we got to do was celebrate Valentine's Day in our preschool class. We decorated heart cookies (messy but fun) and Vail gave a Valentine to her one and only, Pete.

1st Trimester

it is funny how different two pregnancies can be. with vail i was eating everything in site, took lots of naps and had strong cravings.


with baby no.2 i haven't had any time to nap, i have had little to no appetite and after 3pm, a slight nausea. my belly has also popped a lot sooner this time around. although things are different, it is still fun to experience this miracle that is happening. sharing the joy with family and friends and talking to vail about being a big sister. i'm excited for what this year has to bring for us.

weekend with Grammy + Grampy

we had a great weekend on Bainbridge visiting Theo's parents. The sun was out so we played on the beach. Vail loved getting into the sand and throwing rocks into the water.

Theo and I also got a little date time in which was priceless...

READ + PRETEND

in the world of technology the one thing i wanted for Vail was the ability to pretend and read books. well, success! she loves to pretend with her toys and we often find her cooped up in her room or the kitchen area with a pile of books, reading to herself.
