Today was Vail's first day of co-op and I think I was more nervous for the class. We joined a class with the Cedar Park Co-op with our friends Annie and Pete. Once Vail woke up we quickly started talking about school and her teacher. I told her there would be other kids there to play with and that Pete was also going to be there. Once she knew Pete was there, she couldn't stop talking about him all the way to school.
The parents are very involved in the daily actives. We start off outside on the playground where Vail was a little cautious but eventually got in the sandbox and interacted with Teacher Monica and the other children. We then go into class to sing songs together. After song time we have snack and then its time for stations. Each parent is in charge of a station such as art table, blocks, house play area and the bubbles table. Anne and I were the new moms in class so we were in charge of the art table. At the end of class we end with the parachute game and Teacher Monica reads a story to the kids. Vail was the first to sit by teacher to listen to the story about Lions and Tigers and all the zoo animals. Overall it was a great day and I think Vail is going to thrive in her new class.
